Why the quote comes before payment
Rental pricing depends on dates, duration, car type, transmission, availability, insurance and location logistics. A direct quote can therefore be more useful than forcing every traveller through an instant checkout with generic assumptions.
The quote request creates a clear record of what was asked for, especially when the rental includes a one-way return, late arrival or a larger vehicle.
Starting rates versus the final rental price
The fleet page displays starting rates to help compare categories, but those are not a promise that every vehicle will cost the same amount in every month. The exact total is date-dependent.
The written quote should be the reference point for the confirmed price because it reflects the specific dates, car type, insurance choice and delivery or one-way arrangement.
What to have confirmed before you travel
Check the car type, transmission, pickup and return locations, both times, insurance, total price, payment arrangement and any special extras. If an exact model is essential, ask whether that specific model can be confirmed rather than relying on “or similar” examples.
For airport pickup, include the flight number. For hotel or villa delivery, include the exact accommodation.
Pay on arrival and no deposit are separate benefits
A pay-on-arrival arrangement describes when payment is made. No deposit blocked describes the security-deposit policy. CDW/FDW describes insurance. Keeping all three separate prevents misunderstandings.
The site therefore presents these items independently instead of using one phrase to imply everything is automatically included.
What changes the final quote
The published starting rates help compare vehicle types, but the confirmed total depends on the exact dates, rental duration, vehicle type and transmission, availability, insurance choice, pickup/return locations and any special delivery or one-way logistics.
Basic insurance (CDW) is included. Optional full insurance (FDW) is +€12 per rental day and reduces the excess to zero for covered damage, subject to exclusions. No credit card is required and no rental security deposit is blocked. Any applicable delivery or one-way fee is confirmed with the quote.
For the most accurate quote, send:
- Pickup and return dates plus the real handover times.
- Exact pickup and return locations, including airport, port or accommodation name where relevant.
- The car type and transmission you need.
- Driver age and any second-driver requirement.
- CDW or optional FDW preference.
