Request first; confirm the real total before arrival
The online form is a quote request rather than an online checkout. You can request a pay-on-arrival arrangement and receive the vehicle, insurance, pickup/return and any location charges in writing before confirming.
Who this option is useful for
If you prefer to arrange the rental without online checkout, request the exact dates and terms first and confirm how payment will be handled with the booking.
No checkout pressure
The enquiry form does not collect payment-card details.
Price before confirmation
Dates, vehicle type, insurance and locations are used to build the specific quote.
Arrival details
Flight, hotel or ferry information can be added so the handover matches the trip.
Payment clarity
If pay on arrival is important, request it and have the arrangement confirmed in writing.
Why the quote comes before payment
Rental pricing depends on dates, duration, car type, transmission, availability, insurance and location logistics. A direct quote can therefore be more useful than forcing every traveller through an instant checkout with generic assumptions.
The quote request creates a clear record of what was asked for, especially when the rental includes a one-way return, late arrival or a larger vehicle.
Starting rates versus the final rental price
The fleet page displays starting rates to help compare categories, but those are not a promise that every vehicle will cost the same amount in every month. The exact total is date-dependent.
The written quote should be the reference point for the confirmed price because it reflects the specific dates, car type, insurance choice and delivery or one-way arrangement.
What to have confirmed before you travel
Check the car type, transmission, pickup and return locations, both times, insurance, total price, payment arrangement and any special extras. If an exact model is essential, ask whether that specific model can be confirmed rather than relying on “or similar” examples.
For airport pickup, include the flight number. For hotel or villa delivery, include the exact accommodation.
Pay on arrival and no deposit are separate benefits
A pay-on-arrival arrangement describes when payment is made. No deposit blocked describes the security-deposit policy. CDW/FDW describes insurance. Keeping all three separate prevents misunderstandings.
The site therefore presents these items independently instead of using one phrase to imply everything is automatically included.
What changes the final quote
The published starting rates help compare vehicle types, but the confirmed total depends on the exact dates, rental duration, vehicle type and transmission, availability, insurance choice, pickup/return locations and any special delivery or one-way logistics.
Basic insurance (CDW) is included. Optional full insurance (FDW) is +€12 per rental day and reduces the excess to zero for covered damage, subject to exclusions. No credit card is required and no rental security deposit is blocked. Any applicable delivery or one-way fee is confirmed with the quote.
For the most accurate quote, send:
- Pickup and return dates plus the real handover times.
- Exact pickup and return locations, including airport, port or accommodation name where relevant.
- The car type and transmission you need.
- Driver age and any second-driver requirement.
- CDW or optional FDW preference.
- Passenger count, large luggage count and any child-seat need.
- Flight or ferry information when it affects the handover.

Frequently asked questions
Can I request to pay on arrival?
Yes. Request the rental through the quote form and have the payment arrangement confirmed with the written quote.
Do I pay when I submit the quote form?
No. The public quote form is not an online payment page.
Why is the final price not always the starting daily rate?
Season, dates, duration, vehicle availability, transmission, insurance and pickup/return logistics can change the final quote.
Can I still choose FDW if I pay on arrival?
Yes. Insurance choice is separate from the payment timing. Optional full insurance (FDW) is +€12/day with zero excess for covered damage, subject to exclusions.
Is a credit-card deposit blocked?
No rental security deposit is blocked on a credit card.
Can I request airport pickup with pay on arrival?
Yes. Select CHQ and provide the flight number and real pickup time.
Can I request a one-way rental?
Yes. Supported one-way routes are quoted with availability and any applicable location fee.
Do I receive the terms before confirming?
The aim of the written quote is to make the vehicle, insurance, location and price details clear before confirmation.
Does pay on arrival mean cash only?
No. Pay-on-arrival timing and the accepted payment method are separate. Have the payment method confirmed with the quote.
Can I request a quote without paying anything online?
Yes. The quote form does not require online checkout or a card number.
Is the no-deposit policy separate from pay on arrival?
Yes. One concerns payment timing; the other concerns whether a rental security amount is blocked.
