Choose by people and luggage together
Two adults and two children with one suitcase may fit comfortably in a compact car. The same four people with two large cases, cabin bags and a pushchair may be better in a family/estate vehicle. Seven occupied seats can leave much less room for luggage than the vehicle name suggests.
That is why the quote form uses car types but the message field is useful for luggage details. If you are unsure, send the actual passenger and bag count rather than choosing purely from seat numbers.
Child seat and second driver
A baby seat can be requested free of charge, subject to availability. Include the request before pickup so it can be prepared with the vehicle. An eligible second driver is also included, which can be useful on longer Crete days when two adults want to share the driving.
Family-friendly pickup points
Chania Airport is convenient when you want to load luggage once and start driving immediately. Hotel or villa delivery can be useful if you are staying in Chania first and do not need a car on the arrival day. Souda Port and supported coastal areas can also be requested.
If the holiday ends in Heraklion, a supported one-way return can avoid driving back to Chania purely to return the car. The route and any applicable location fee should be confirmed with the quote.
Which car type should a family request?
Small or economy cars suit light-packing couples and small families. Compact cars add useful cabin and luggage room. Family/estate vehicles are a better starting point for four or five travellers with several large bags. Seven-seaters are for larger groups, but you should always state luggage count when all seven seats will be occupied.
What changes the final quote
Starting rates are a comparison guide. The confirmed total depends on the exact dates, duration, requested vehicle type and transmission, availability, included insurance or optional full insurance, pickup and return points, and any delivery or one-way logistics that apply to the route.
