Deposit, payment card and excess are three different things
A security deposit is money or available card balance held as security. A payment card is simply a payment method. Insurance excess is the amount of liability that can remain under a particular insurance option. These ideas are often mixed together in car-rental advertising, but they are not interchangeable.
On this site, “no deposit blocked” describes the security-deposit policy. CDW and FDW describe insurance. Keeping those terms separate makes it easier to compare offers accurately.
