Choosing a car for western Crete
A mini or compact vehicle is often sufficient for normal paved-road touring. An SUV can add comfort or luggage space, but should not be selected on the assumption that it authorises off-road driving.
For families or groups, luggage count is more important than the visual size of the vehicle in a photo.
Different return points
A Kissamos-area pickup can be requested with return in Chania, at CHQ or at another supported location. For a Heraklion return, the full one-way route should be part of the original quote.
Any route fee is confirmed separately from the vehicle rate.
What changes the final quote
The published starting rates help compare vehicle types, but the confirmed total depends on the exact dates, rental duration, vehicle type and transmission, availability, insurance choice, pickup/return locations and any special delivery or one-way logistics.
Basic insurance (CDW) is included. Optional full insurance (FDW) is +€12 per rental day and reduces the excess to zero for covered damage, subject to exclusions. No credit card is required and no rental security deposit is blocked. Any applicable delivery or one-way fee is confirmed with the quote.
